Assistant Superintendent Named for 2026-27

At the December Board of Education meeting, the Board approved the hiring of Jason Duey as the district’s next Assistant Superintendent, effective for the 2026–27 school year. Mr. Duey will replace Assistant Superintendent Jennifer Katzin, who will retire at the end of the 2025–26 school year.
Mr. Duey brings more than 20 years of experience in public education. He has spent the past eight years serving as a 6–12 Head Principal in the Fordland and Seymour school districts. Prior to that, he worked at Norwood High School as a teacher, head baseball coach, and athletic director. His leadership and operational experience will support district facilities, staff, and daily operations across the district.
Jason and his wife, Sara, who serves as LR’s Gifted Education teacher, have three children who all attend LR. They have lived in the district for 17 years and enjoy spending time with their family on Table Rock Lake and attending their children’s extracurricular events.
“I am honored for the opportunity to serve the district that has been home to my family for many years,” Mr. Duey said. “I look forward to strengthening community partnerships and leading initiatives that support the continued success of the LR district. As a parent of three children in the district, I am thankful for the opportunities LR provides to all students.”
