ABOUT ME

My name is Jen Kent, and I am proud to be the district wide school social worker for Logan-Rogersville School District. I received my Bachelor of Social Work and my Master’s in Social Work at Missouri State University. I have 21 years of social work experience in the medical community, university level, and K-12 public schools. I received my license in Clinical Social Work in 2010 and joined the LR team in 2021.

MESSAGE

As the school social worker I will promote the social and emotional growth of the students within the district as well as provide a link between students, parents, school staff, and the entire district to resources, referrals and support. 

VISION

I hope to connect and coordinate family and community support services as well as provide consultation and interventions regarding home and community factors impinging upon a student’s school functioning. My goal is to create a unique niche in the school setting by fostering students’ social and emotional wellbeing.

Privacy and confidentiality are essential to having an effective school social work program. Logan Rogersville School District recognizes the importance of good communication and good working relationships between students, parents, and the school. Therefore, every effort will be made to protect student and parent privacy rights except under certain limited conditions. These conditions generally include safety issues (harm to self and/or others), legal issues, and professional responsibilities according to the NASW School Social Worker Code of Ethics.
