Job Title:
Student Success Coordinator
Tell us about your family:
I have a 4.5 year old daughter, Sawyer and have been married to my husband Curtis for 8 years. We live on our family farm with our 3 dogs, chickens and horses.
How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
7 years
What makes you passionate about education?
I’m passionate about education because I believe it’s the foundation for confidence, opportunity, and belonging. Every student deserves to feel seen, supported, and capable of growth—academically, socially, and emotionally. I’m driven by those breakthrough moments when a student realizes they can succeed, when the right support changes the trajectory of their school experience.
What is your must-have classroom item?
An essential oil diffuser because middle school students are stinky.
If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
I wouldn't want to teach anything else!
What is something about you that might surprise people?
I love to hike and travel.
What is one item on your bucket list?
I'd love to travel to Poland and Ireland!

Emily, we’re so glad to have you as part of the team at LR!
