Tell us about your family (human and/or fur family):
My husband Edward (11 years this month), our son Parker (kindergarten), and two Miniature Pinschers named Lucy and Snookie.
How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
This is my first year at LR, but my 8th year teaching art.
Why did you choose to work for LR?
I used to live in Rogersville and I always loved the community, so when a position opened up, I applied immediately.
What is your favorite thing about working for LR?
The close-knit feel of the district and support of colleagues and administrators.
How did you know you wanted to be a teacher?
I wanted to be a teacher because of one of my art teachers, Mrs. Crowley. She opened my eyes to so many things and was a great role model.
What is something about you that might surprise people?
I didn't have an art class until I was in 7th grade.
What is your favorite quote?
"Just make a mark and see where it takes you" -'The Dot' by Peter H. Reynolds
Full time artist, crafter, and mom.
What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I really want to learn how to knit.
What do you like to do when you're not at school?
I like to make things.
