Preschool Teacher- 3 year olds

Tell us about your family:
My husband, Clint, and I have 4 amazing kiddos! Molly who is 10, Owen and Sophia who are 6, and Cooper who is 19 months. We also have a boxer named Charlie. 

How long have you been a teacher/worked in education?
This is my 9th year teaching! I have been at LR for all 9 of those years. I spent the first 6 years teaching 1st grade and I am in my third year in preschool. 

What makes you passionate about education?
I am passionate about education because I get to be a part of the very beginning of a child's school journey. At three years old, everything is new and exciting, and I love being the one to help our littlest wildcats feel safe, cared for, and excited about learning. Each day is so fun and you never know what each day will bring, but they remind me everyday that I have the best job in the world! 

What is your must-have classroom item?
Paper mate Ink Joy pens! 

If you had to choose a different grade/subject to teach, what would it be?
Algebra or Biology! 

What is something about you that might surprise people?
I come from a family of educators! My grandma is a retired superintendent, my dad is a retired high school principal (and now currently teaching in LR), my mom is a special education teacher, one of my sisters is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and my other sister is a teacher for the visually impaired (all work for SPS). 

What is one item on your bucket list?
To have floor seats for Taylor Swift's next tour!
