Designing a Faculty Web Page

This page gives some brief information on the various programs available for making faculty web pages.

Please contact the webmaster if you have any questions.

Software Options

1. Microsoft Word - Great for those wanting only one page. Pretty easy to use because most of us already know how to use Word. Easy to publish in Office 2003. When using a table the lines sometimes show up when you don't want them to (see example).

2. Microsoft Publisher - Great if you want to have multiple pages on your web site. It makes the cool buttons for you and all. The pre-made designs look great and are easy to "fill-in" and publish. Easy to publish in Office 2003 Example Mrs. Graham, HS Library Mr Graham, HS Music Lindsey Jameson, UE counselor

3. Netscape Composer- Great for those wanting only one page. Fairly easy to use, but the pages don't always look very good in Internet Explorer (which is the most popular browser). Easy to update and publish! Example Mrs. Wilkerson Upper Elementary Directions on how to use this program.

4. Front Page - No one has ever tried this program, but it should work. I'd be happy to help you try to get this working if you are willing.

There are web page guidelines for our district.  Get a copy of these before posting anything.   The building principals should "approve" your page before posting.
