SCHOOL YEAR 2011 - 2012
STUDENT CHARGE LIMITS
Students of each grade level will be allowed to charge
as follows:
Primary (K-1st): 5 Meal Charges
Elementary (2nd-3rd): 5 Meal Charges
Upper Elementary (4th - 6th): 5 Meal Charges
Middle School (7th - 8th): 2 Meal Charges.
High School (9th -12th): NO Meal Charges regardless
of meal status.
NOTE: Breakfast and ala carte items (example. Extra
milk with meals) will not be allowed as chargeable
items at any grade level by students of any meal status
if there is a negative balance.
STUDENT ALTERNATIVE MEALS
When the charge limit has been met and students do
not have the funds to pay for the next meal, an alternative
meal will be offered. The alternative meal will be
toast and white milk for breakfast and a peanut butter
and jelly or a cheese sandwich and one carton of white
milk for lunch. (A Wildcat Meal)
LOW
BALANCE & NEGATIVE BALANCE
COMMUNICATION
Twice a month the cashier and/or office
personnel, (K-6) will send low/negative balance letters
home via
teachers. At all other grades the cashier will tell
the student (verbally) when the student account reaches
a “1 lunch to go” account limit.
The building Principal & the Food
Service Director will be notified after 10 continuous
days of an alternative
lunch.
